DON"T update the game to 1.3, it deletes your game saves

First reviewer warns against downloading the update, I wish I could head his warning but since it errors out for me when I attempt to download (even after deleting it from my hard drive) it again, its erroring. Now having deleted it, Im without the game completely. Great!

Two Big Thumbs up - for this latest update ! This update makes this run like a dream on my iMac. Ive noticed better sound effects - better and smoother animations - and now i can run at my iMacs maximium resolution which on my 27 inch iMac - i must say that i really love. I can only imagine what this thing would run like on a retina display. If you are looking for a great mac gaming experience - you should try this one. Ive really enjoyed the big battles - with the faster graphics in this update - I never have to worry if the thousands of troops on the battlefield will slow down my computer - and it just makes the game so immersive and so much fun.

If you run perian or any online video plugin the new update seems to kill the game. Unfortunatley for feral if I have to choose between deleting my video plugins or this game, im going with the component I use all of the time. No other program on my computer conflicts with my plugins….

works great on a macbook pro 10.8.4 no lag, no crashes, I bought it for the online play but it seems that nobody plays this game online. The only thing you can play is the campaign which is pretty good.

I installed this game last week and I havent had a problem with it. The game runs smoothly, no crashes and I havnet lost any saved games - the version I downloaded is the new one, so nothing has been replaced. Would recommend getting this game.

This game is awesome no matter what, probably the best strategy and historically acurate game ive ever played. I only have two complaints. 1, Why can’t we play as all the factions? Now, I know thats the developpers problem, but seriously? And 2, wheres the Alexander the Great Expansion? was really looking forward to playing that. Anyway, superb game none the less, definitely on my favorites list.

Don’t buy this game until they figure out why it crashes. As soon as the the game starts getting intense and your getting far it crashes. I have this game for awhile and I have never completed it. This game is so fun until it starts doing that. I’ve called feral support and followed all of there instructions and nothing has helped. Save your money!

In game sounds do not work. Sound during cinematics does work. There seems to be no support available for this issue.

Not sure which is worse: playing this endlessly dull game to its listless conclusion, or having it crash a few minutes or hours in.

This is the best game ever, five stars for sure, but I only gave it three because it keeps crashing! It doesnt matter what your game settings are, what faction you choose, or what you do; it will still crash! And the worst part is that it waits till youve worked very hard to build up an empire, then it complete screws you over and constantly crashes again and again and again everytime forever. There isnt even a way to extract your saved game and play it on the pc version! Please please please fix this game!

It might be an old game, but it is one of the best I played so far. It ran really well on my computer (first generation of Macbook Pro Retina). I didn’t have major cash issues. This game gets even more amazing when using mods (modifications made by users). Roma Surrectum, Europa Barbarorum and Total Realism are some of the best.

Loved the game on the pc and Feral did a pretty good job on converting it to the mac. Hats off to you guys at Feral keep them coming!!

Upon attempting to launch the game, I see it’s logo appear then I get an error message that it quit unexpectedly...and its never gotten beyond that point. This is a known issue and has existed since 2014 according to the many posts by frustrated players on the game’s forum. There’s no known fix that I could find. I know this is an older game but if its for sale on the app store, if should be supported…wish I could get a refund.

So saw this, bought it. Depressed as I have no audio. Audio works fine in the others. So until audio is fixed. going to hold off on playing!

if there was so much as a small rarely used server for online play this would easily be 5 stars, anyone who had this game on pc knows at rtw online is bangin, to this day theres still a huge community of rtw pc online players, after months of gameranger not being compatible with mavericks its safe to say they arent working, there needs to be an update with a working, built in multiplayer, then this will easily get the 5 stars it deserves

Updated the other day but ever since then, the tilde key for console commands, i.e. Romeshell, won’t open at all. Everything else works fine, but sometimes I like using the occasional cheat so I don’t get blindsided by an enemy army coming out of the forest or the desert, ya know? So please, fix that and I’ll be back to conquering the Mediterranean just a smidge easier.
