Great Game No Multiplayer

I played this game back a long time ago while I was a kid and I really enjoyed it. I was pumped to download this version of RTW and it ran like a charm. A couple of my friends also bought this game in hopes of playing multiplayer. Unfortunetly I seemed to not do my research because the only option is “LAN” and all I get is an error message that I can not connect.

If you want to play single player the game is as awesome as I remember.

IF you want to play multiplayer, do not purchase this game.

I can not find a fix online, but I hope I am the only one with this problem.
